Sumo tablet works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation in the body. Paracetamol works centrally by blocking pain signals in the brain and reducing fever by acting on the brain’s temperature-regulating centre.
Other medicines that contain the same combination include Nodard Plus tablet, Nobel Plus, Nicip plus tablet and Nimsaid P. Although these brands work similarly, your doctor will recommend one based on availability, pricing, and your personal response to treatment. Regardless of the brand, follow the dosage and duration as advised by your doctor to avoid unwanted side effects.
Common side effects of Sumo Tablet may include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, though not everyone experiences them. Neurological: Some individuals may experience drowsiness or dizziness. Long-term Risks: Prolonged use may lead to stomach and intestinal ulcers and an increased risk of heart disease
Since both paracetamol and Nimesulide can affect the liver, patients with liver disease or those who consume alcohol regularly should use this medicine with caution. Your doctor may recommend certain precautions or monitoring to reduce the risk of side effects. Treatment must stop if symptoms such as anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, or dark urine develop. Sumo Tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the correct dose and for the recommended duration.
The medication must be taken with food to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal irritation. Taking it at the same time each day can help maintain consistent pain relief. Avoid skipping doses, and do not take more than the prescribed amount, as excessive use can harm the liver or lead to other complications. For best results, follow your doctor’s advice and inform them about any other medications or supplements you are using.
